| Iditarod
|
|
| Today I will run the Iditarod I have eight dogs, from Billie to Todd. Some sleds ended as a wreck, But I am ready for the thousand mile trek. I have supplies, from flour to tea; There will be snow as far as the eye can see. The trail will be hard and rough But my dogs are willing, strong and tough. I'm running the race not for the prize, But for the thrill of the way the sled flies. I'd like to yell "Mush" at the top of my voice, For to run this race was my own choice. I will not give up, I will not let them down; I will keep up the race 'til I reach the last town. |
